Sumptuous Sunday: Feathery friends and frostbite

I wonder which one is worse for you > Eggs Benedict OR French toast. Hmmmm…. I might just have to try them both. The time to call for an intervention would be… no, not quite yet.  The French toast was for someone else.

Eggs Benedict and French toast with strawberriesI might have to start an Eggs Benedict blog where I photograph all the Eggs Benedicts that are lucky enough to cross my path. This time, if it could be at all possible, there was too much hollandaise sauce. We debated this and decided there is no such thing as too much sauce and that there just wasn’t enough toast.

We “needed” the sustenance for what came next.  A trip up a local hill to look at other hills we like to call mountains that had SNOW on them. Only the snow was a little bit non-existent. The WIND however was rocketing in from snow fields further away and, apart from nearly getting blown off our hill, we were icecubed in just a few minutes.

Here, look, I have added some helpful graphic aids to assist you is finding the snow…

Tiny amount of snow on far hills

The poor little guy below is hanging on for dear life.

Somehow he and his pals worked out the bags we were taking out of the boot had bread in them. They asked ever-so-politely if we could flick them a bit.

Feeding a magpieHappy Sunday everyone. I hope yours is warmer (and less windy) than ours!

About gillianloves

I decided there was not enough laughing in my life so I set to and started to design greeting cards in addition to my other design work. I'm happy to make people smile and to show that sending something really good takes as little effort as sending something pretty ordinary. I fully believe that if you can laugh about it someday you may as well laugh about it today. And also that we are just about as happy as we try to be. But you should know, Pollyanna I'm not. Even I might want to slap her after a day or so.

Well, it’ still Saturday here, about 20 after 9 PM.
Tomorrow, Sunday our weather will be a bit warmer than yours.
In the lower 90′s but with the heat index…..
I would love some wind! :D – Cindi

You don’t want this wind! It is the lazy kind, you know, the one that goes straight through you instead of going around. FREEEEZING.

We are inside still a bit cold drinking tea and cooking ourselves in front of the heater. There really OUGHT to be more snow, it’s cold enough. THen at least there would be something pretty to look at.
