Another Handmade Market done and dusted. A new venue at the National Convention Centre in Canberra and a fresh bright start to the year.
It was a top day filled with lovely, laughing people. So saying, enjoyable as it was, the next person who buys a $4.00 product with A HUNDRED DOLLAR BILL is getting their change like this… with a smile, but like this…
And the next time some kid sucks a handful of badges and hides them in a box of cards I WILL ping them off his pointy little head as he skips off.
I’ll be smiling then too. I’m good like that.
Me too. Apparently my grandma was good at a smiling arm-twist or sneaky pinch, so I get it from her, God-love-her.
Bet sucky-kid’s mum knew what was going on, but ignored it – some mums are jaw-droppers at what they can not see their little darlings doing…
The mum was standing right next to him looking through cards. I don’t know if she saw, I like to think not.
I was too surprised to say anything! Horrified. The customer is not always right after all… I suppose I’m just lucky he didn’t swallow it.
Maybe if he had swallowed them it would have taught him not to do it anymore……
I think there is another stall at the markets that does magnets. We could have fished around for any swallowed badges with one of those. Maybe from the outside, maybe tied to a string… Ha. I sound so mean. Oh well.
