Secret Santa: Turkey shmurkey

You know a turkey is too large, you know no one really likes it… especially not for leftovers that seem to go on until the end of time. We froze a most of the turkey one year. The joy of Christmas lasted about three months.  When we got to turkey pizza we decided enough was enough. The cat was pretty happy (and full).

I like this one much better. Perfect as a Secret Santa gift for the local vegetarian. So glad they put the plug where they did.

INFLATABLE TURKEY

Inflatable turkey is from Baron Bob.

About gillianloves

I decided there was not enough laughing in my life so I set to and started to design greeting cards in addition to my other design work. I'm happy to make people smile and to show that giving something really good takes as little effort as sending something pretty ordinary. I fully believe that if you can laugh about it someday you may as well laugh about it today. And also that we are just about as happy as we try to be. But you should know, Pollyanna I'm not. Even I might want to slap her after a day or so.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE turkey! Especially cold leftover turkey with cold dressing and cold sweet potatoes smashed on top like an open-faced sandwich…Mmmmmmmmmmmmm
I remember one year my sister (I always go over there for Thanksgiving) made a Ham.
I smiled and said it was delicious but I was crying inside!
Hmmm, I guess I could make my OWN turkey?! Now that’s a thought seeing how I toast my bread for grilled cheese sandwiches because it’s too much of a hassle for me to get out the pan and spatula and wash them up later……Julia Child I’m not.

Cold turkey? Bleh. HAM however, yum scrum bum. Sorry little pigs. We’d be perfect dinner partners… no need to fight over the last slice of anything! Although I am partial to the sweet potato… thumb wrestle?
