Zaishu!

It sounds a bit like a sneeze but no… Zaishu is an Australian company dedicated to bringing their handcrafted beautiful designs to the world. But we can buy them locally (by “local” I mean in Australia), aren’t we lucky?

Small black, red and natural Zaishu stool with typography on it

You can use the pieces as a (smallish) stool or as a table.  Believe it or not they come packed flat and fit together with nary a screw or nail in sight. Perfecto!

Group of four images of small Zaishu stools, different designs on them

At $150  UPDATE: over $450 (what, are you kidding?) I might just be able to get one (think again sister. <pouts>). Not today, but next birthday perhaps. Birthdays are great excuses to lash out. What am I saying? I don’t need an excuse! I deserve one of these pretty, pretty stools. Although I think in my house of the giants it will have a longer life as a table.

You can get order from them online or drop in to their Melbourne store:

About gillianloves

I decided there was not enough laughing in my life so I set to and started to design greeting cards in addition to my other design work. I'm happy to make people smile and to show that giving something really good takes as little effort as sending something pretty ordinary. I fully believe that if you can laugh about it someday you may as well laugh about it today. And also that we are just about as happy as we try to be. But you should know, Pollyanna I'm not. Even I might want to slap her after a day or so.
