Now this is probably completely old news and old hat to you many, many iPhone aficionados… but to me the iWorld is a little bit new and exciting. You see, I snaffled myself a nifty little iPod Touch this past Christmas and have been having all sorts of fun mucking around with the apps.

Apps are a little bit like fonts, you think you need it, you are sure you need it, then after just a little while…you don’t need it and rarely look at it again. Not this one. Well, pretty sure. Picture Show. I know there is also Hipstomatic which looks heaps of fun but I haven’t gotten to that one just yet. Both add all sorts of light leaks, scratches, old-time effects. Makes me laugh to think we have this up to date fabulous piece of 21st century technology yet we use it to make things look old and so “last century”.

Taking the past and reinventing it perhaps? I don’t care, I love it and you will see some of it in our next sets of cards.  It’s just too much fun not to share around.

About gillianloves

I decided there was not enough laughing in my life so I set to and started to design greeting cards in addition to my other design work. I'm happy to make people smile and to show that sending something really good takes as little effort as sending something pretty ordinary. I fully believe that if you can laugh about it someday you may as well laugh about it today. And also that we are just about as happy as we try to be. But you should know, Pollyanna I'm not. Even I might want to slap her after a day or so.
